电影字幕翻译追求的是让目的语观众观影后获得跟源语观众相同的艺术享受。功能对等理论强调的是译语读者对源文的理解、反应与源语读者的理解和反应相一致或类似,这正符合字幕翻译的目标。因此,以此理论指导电影字幕翻译,采用灵活的翻译方法,能有效地提升字幕翻译的质量,令人们更好地欣赏电影。
Abstract：Film subtitle translation aims to let the target audience get the same artistic enjoyment as the source language audience. Functional equivalence theory emphasizes that the readers of the target language have the same or similar understanding and response of the source text as the source language readers. Therefore, it can improve the quality of the subtitle translation and make people better appreciate the film by using the flexible translation methods.
